Which Nissan Model was Named World Green Car?

Here at Hall Nissan Chesapeake, we were very excited to see that that updated 2018 Nissan LEAF was named the 2018 World Green Car at the New York International Auto Show last month, especially because this particular model has been a shining paragon of green technology since its inception just a few years ago.

While the latest version only has been available at our facility for a few weeks, customers have already been excited to give it a try. This generational upgrade includes an increased all-electric range with a slick new exterior design, as well as the latest in Nissan Intelligent Mobility advanced safety features, including ProPILOT Assist, e-Pedal, automatic emergency braking, and several others.

Of all the excellent Nissan models currently for sale here, it is without question the greenest, serving as the poster child for efficiency not only for this brand specifically, but the industry in general.

"We're very proud that since Nissan LEAF launched in 2010, we've been able to put more than 300,000 zero-emission electric vehicles on the road worldwide, helping to reduce carbon footprints around the globe," said Daniele Schillaci, Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and Sales, Zero Emission Vehicle and Battery Business; Chairman of Management Committee for Japan/A&O (Japan, Asia, Oceania Business); Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. "We're honored to be recognized by this esteemed jury and proud to continue to expand the vision of Nissan Intelligent Mobility."
