2019 Nissan Altima Debuts in New York

Here at Hall Nissan Chesapeake, we seem to sell more and more crossovers every year, which certainly could make it seem like the good, old-fashioned family sedan is heading out the door. This couldn't be the furthest thing from the truth, however, particularly following the New York International Auto Show debut of the exciting redesigned 2019 Nissan Altima just this past month.

"This new Nissan Altima builds on 25 years and more than 5.6 million Nissan Altima sales to date, but to us, this is just a starting point," said Denis Le Vot, senior vice president, chairman of management committee, Nissan North America, Inc. "That's why we decided to shake up the midsize segment in terms of design, driving enjoyment and technologies that are advanced and affordable."

There are a lot of things to love in the latest iteration of this best selling new Nissan sedan. For starters, it features new, more expressive styling, as well as a more modern, redesigned interior.

It also comes with two new engine offerings, including the first-ever production-ready variable compression turbo inline four-cylinder engine in any Nissan automobile. There also will be a new standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder direct-injection engine that comes as a base model on all Nissan Altima models.

Furthermore, it comes with new safety features, including ProPILOT Assist, which helps keep drivers and passengers safer in this automobile than ever before.

We are being told that these models will find their way to our facility later this fall, so there's a bit of a wait before Chesapeake, VA drivers can actually get behind the wheel of one for a test drive. Watch this space for when you can expect to see the 2019 Nissan Altima at our showroom.
